Forgot to take my tablet, now panicking.

l am always forgetting my metformin. Think combi of rushing round to do huge list bad memory and hate tablets. So far been fine in fact this reminded me to have mine just now after breakfast.

Thank you both,I had coffee with cream, boiled egg,a small pot of Greek yougart, and went for half hour bike ride, tested when I got home and it was 6.6,when I tested before,it was 8.7, so am happy about that...Think I have found my new breakfast...Would like to do a green smoothie as I am going out today, any ideas...Happy Saturday to you all...xox

You could try a protein shake. I make my own with whey protein powder, almond milk, fresh berries, ginger root, mint leaves, parsley etc, but different brands have different carb values. It would mean you have protein while you are out. Let us know what you decide to have!

I have no protein powder as yet,but I do have spin age, cucumber, lettuce lol,is that any good, how much fluid do I need to blend...Ty.

I forgot to take my 12.00 tablet,Metformin,I can't believe it,now am so worried, will this affect me in any way,I been told 3 weeks ago I got Diabetes type 2. Just need some reassuring...Thank you...xox

I forgot when I first started taking metformin. My nurse said not to worry but also mentioned that it was ok to take it up to 2 hours after the meal.

When I first began to take it I had a tummy upset with it but the lovely people here advised to take it mid way or at the end of the meal. I also make sure I take it with a large glass of water. No problems now.

I hope you get on well.

Hi Rosemaryx
Glad you are getting into your curry cooking, you can add tinned or fresh tomatoes as well....
Look forward to hearing about what you cook ....
Curry freezes well ....
Some people have brown rice....
I sometimes have the mini pitta breads ......personal,choice .....my rice would be about the portion size of half a cup...
Some people here who do low carb ( I am a bit of many diets to suit me ) are experts in making cauliflower rice ....
All worth looking into .....chat soon ....Kat x. Chickpea flour makes a good flat bread ....

Chickpea flour will go on my list.will it have instruction on how to make the pitta bread...xox
