I use Nutracheck. It gives counts for ready made stuff from the main supermarkets and also separate ingredients eg cocoa powder. You can type in a weight of an ingredient and it calculates carbs plus other nutritional amounts. And it’s free!

Just went to check out Nutracheck, seems the free bit has gone, to be replaced by subscriptions.

The one in my comment #7 is showing as free in the Apple App Store. I’ve put an image in that comment to help your searches.

Good morning one and all. A marvellous 7.0 today. When I’m off in a couple of days I will be asking u lovely lot about “maintaining “ and living. With reversed diabetes and suggested correct vigilance. Great days and great low numbers to all my finger pricking buddies.

My FitnessPal it has a HUGE database of food and also includes user generated content and allows you to scan in food bar codes and add them too. Can highly recommend this.

I always found MFP to have a load of really bad info in it so stopped using it after a couple of days.. don't you find the same? The mix of US and UK measures (being different) makes it almost unusable.

I agree with Bulkbiker. I found MyFitnessPal has gaps in the info too, if they don’t have a quantity for carbs they put ‘0’ rather than just leaving it blank, which can be misleading. Oh and by the way it was in the news yesterday that they’d been hacked, compromising some personal details.

I’ve added my own foods into MFP, with “U.K.” in brackets. It’s taking me a while to work through my usual food, but I’m getting there! At least I know it’s right, then.

I generally use it for UK brands and also for things I've scanned or created.
