Hello @bluebird Can you explain what sort of help you are seeking, are you looking for an app, or having issues raising your blood glucose levels, and are you on medication ?

I don't understand what's happening with my blood sugar levels. Until I had the heart attack my readings were always in the 7s.
I had the heart attack in January and a stroke 2 weeks ago. I was taking 40mg gliclazide a day. It has been increased and now I am taking 160mg morning and 120mg evening. It seems out of control and I am worried. I wondered if anyone has had a similar experience and if they have any advice

Hello @bluebird Have you seen your GP about this ? Also when you say out of control what sort of readings are you getting ?
I am participating in research for diabetes and heart related problems so I am having regular contact with a diabetic nurse. I am having visits from stroke nurse and will be having an ecg 72 hour monitor fitted next week. So I am being looked after. However I am still worried that my blood sugar levels are increasing even though the nurse has increased my meds. The readings are mid to high 10s.
I have a family history of diabetes and my sister had to have toes amputated.
I am quite worried.

I would check the levels you have been prescribed. I’m also on gliclazide and was recently told by my gp I am at the max levels which is 80mg in the morning and evening.

I have been told by diabetic nurse that the maximum is 160 am and 160 PM.. It doesn't seem to be working for me. I will be seeing the nurse Thursday and we will be discussing alternatives. I was wondering whether to try slow release metformin again. It might not give me diarrhoea this time.

I’m due to be referred as gliclazide not working for me. They want to put me on insulin but based on what you have said there could be an alternative
