Great news! After the Plus-update, Freestyle Libre 2 is finally able to stream BG values to your iphone without scanning. At the same time it’s still possible to scan the libre 2 plus sensor for a reading. (I think Abbot did this so they can still call it a flash glucose meter as only those are reimbursed in the Netherlands and CGMs are not)

Also the Libre 3 has been updated/graded to the Libre 3 Plus, getting now 15 days of sensor life instead of 14 days.

Are there any other improvements that anyone knows to those new versions?

I had been using the Libre 2 for a couple of years and recently changed to the 2 Plus. I have been able to look at my reading on my iPhone without scanning the sensor for a while now. I can’t remember when this changed but it was definitely before I switched to the Plus version. I’m in the UK so maybe it’s different in the Netherlands.
I'm just wanting to be able to see readings on my Apple Watch too without having to use an alternative app to LibreLink.

The Libre 1 was a flash sensor.
Though you could use a “Bluetooth bridge” to scan the L1 & send to a 3rd party app making it a CGM.

The Libre 2 on it’s release became a CGM with the updated LL app.
I use Android..

I have just been moved to FSL2+ in preparation for going to closed loop. I have to scan once to commence the startup process.

Having real problems with sensor error which seems to be regular feature !!!

I never used the android app but should work just as well, or not? Hopefully a Watch app is released soon for both android and apple.

For plus users that stream their bg values to their smartwatch: I found I had to change some settings in Gluroo for the libre 3 plus in order to keep values coming in on my watch. You have to switch your cgm from ‘freestyle libre 3’ to ‘freestyle libre 3 plus’.
