I really need some help and/or guidance.
I’m a type 1 brittle diabetic in the UK. I’m current using the freestyle libre 1 sensor. I have just been informed that the libre 1 is being discontinued and being replaced by libre 2 in a few months. The new sensor sends beeps of EMF frequencies every minute to support the new automated alarm system - to connect to your phone app or new reader. I’m very very EMF sensitive and have strong reactions to these frequencies. I have to have wired internet and use no WiFi at home for example. One of the things that happens is that my cells become really insulin resistant being in contact with these EMF frequencies (my diabetes goes all over the place) so using a sensor that then makes my diabetes worse is not an option. The sensor libre 1 previously had completely transformed my diabetes and life.
Does anyone have similar issues? Do you know anyone that can help or guide me? I’d obviously like to continue using a system, I don’t mind which system, to monitor my readings. The brilliant thing with the first libre was that it helped me predict my readings (it doesn’t send constant beeps of wireless frequencies) and nighttime’s have become far easier. I’m really concerned about having to return to a very erratic diabetes which the libre 1 solved - which prior to the libre 1 left me regularly very unwell.
I’d be very grateful for any guidance,
Phillip
