Freestyle Libre - Arm Pressure

My mum lives with me. She is right side paralysed and only one hand of fingers to use for finger prick testing. The Freestyle Libre looks, on the surface, like a great idea as with her dementia, multiple testing on already bruised fingers is torture for her.

My worry is about being changed/moved, as she needs to be rolled multiple times a day onto her side, which has pressure on the arm a sensor would be on.

2 Questions
1. Can it be attached to the front of the arm.
2. Would rolls onto the side/arm cause pain/sensor to be detached.

Thanks

Hello. Sorry about your mum. Does she have to be rolled to the same side every time? Could the sensor be fitted to the other arm?
You could ask Abbott about alternative fixing sites. There is a theory that prolonged pressure on the sensor can give false (low) readings. But if it's applied properly it won't come adrift and it's waterproof (blanket bath?).
Hope you can get one fitted as it does sound a good solution.
