Freestyle Libre issues!

Hello
Just wondering if anyone else has had any issue with their Freestyle Libre? (the standard one not the 2)

I have just replaced my sensor this morning (10am) and the 'calibrating' scan worked okay. On scanning (I use the phone app on advice from my clinic) at 11am it came up with the message that it couldn't scan and to wait 10 minutes - this continued about 4 times until the message came up that the sensor wasn't working and to replace with a new one! Annoyingly this is my last sensor (have put in a prescription request as I can only request one months worth) so will have to revert back to finger pricking. Has anyone else had any issues with faulty sensors? This isn't the first time it has happened but definitely not within 1 hour of putting a new sensor on! I put it on my arm in the 'correct' place! I've used the sensors for about 2 years and the last 3 months there seem to be more issues with it not wanting to scan! the last two sensors (inc this one) I've had to replace before the 2 weeks are up! The first time it happened it was giving me LO readings when I was around 7.0 until it decided to fail completely!

I was using the Libre 1 for about 3 years or so, and yes sometimes they do just fail - as can any electronics at any point
You will need to contact Abbott to get a replacement - keep the faulty one they may well want it back for testing - I had a few failures with mine, it does sometimes just happen

2 failed sensors in 2 years?
I'd say you were incredibly lucky.

I assume something like this will happen and always have at least one spare sensor in my drawer.
Due to Abbot replacing sensors that fail before they expire, I can maintain the monthly prescription rate of two and still have a spare.

In fact, I consider it incredibly important to report failed sensors - the NHS is short of money as it is so I consider it my duty not to waste of their funds.

have just come off the phone to Abbotts, calm foreign lady but occasionally difficult to understand. I am at present very unwell with the cold chest and throat bug and have spent most of the past 7 days in bed, struggle to speak and can't catch my breath. was told by diabetic nurse to contact Abbotts and get the sensors replaced.
I have lost one after 12 days followed by one after 2days! the libre1 has been a life savour to give me an idea of my blood sugars but i too have found them not as accurate as they should be but being as incapacitated as i am at present it has been very helpful.
both my nurse and gp have been very supportive.
it is a nasty bug brought into the house by grown up son, passed to husband and now me.
Been diabetic over 50 years and this 1st time I haven't wanted to eat
they haven't asked for the sensors back and say the replacement ones will be here with 7 working days
take care everyone.

I take your point but having dealt with Abbotts in the uk for many years it is only recently the helpline is manned elsewhere, their answerphone starts off with an announcement to that effect .
