This is a really interesting thread. I'm on my 2nd Libre 2 sensor. The first one was faulty and I kept getting various error messages, including no sensor found. Abbott replaced it and didn't want the faulty one.
The 2nd sensor will scan but the alarms don't function, I'm getting error messages
Alarms unavailable due to one or more of the following
Channel notifications disabled
Lock screen notifications disabled
Notification sounds disabled
Sound and pop up notifications disabled

Anyone any idea how to fix this?????? I can't find any of these on my phone Samsung Galaxy A20e

This was a most helpful thread as I think the nfc issue applies to me. Only issue is I’m not THAT technical and I have an iPhone SE which doesn’t have a switch to shut down / restart nfc to re-set. Any ideas?

I did call Abbot and they say it’s a sensor failure. (The call centre said it definitely wasn’t my phone , but I’m fairly sure it is as I have now applied a new sensor and still no joy)

Any help gratefully received!

Is it the original iPhone SE, or the 2020 version? A quick google said that if it's the 2020 one, you can't turn NFC off and on.

Hi,

I have seen a lot of you may be having FREESTYLE LIBRE READER ISSUES?

I MAY BE ABLE TO HELP!

So a quick backstory, I am a Type 1 living in the UK. I have had diabetes for 20 years and was recently put on to the Freestyle Libre 2. Due to my work I needed to use the Freestyle Libre 2 Reader to scan.

I found I had issues when connecting reader to my PC and Libreview. I contacted Abbott and like so many of you, found that I couldn't really get much help outside of clear cookies and cache.

I DID FIND A SOLUTION!

Sometimes technology doesn't behave as we expect, so I thought I would try connecting the FREESTYLE LIBRE 2 READER, BEFORE booting the computer as I needed the data for my DSN (Diabetes Specialist Nurse).

This is important because if I connected the reader to computer after starting it up, it did NOT work.

Also please be aware that I HAVE been using a computer that meets the requirements stipulated by Abbott.
I recommend checking their requirements on the website in addition to attempting to follow this advice.

I am really hoping this will fix the issue for so many of you as it did for me. I cannot guarantee it will work for you but it may be worth a shot.

Just for clarity, I DO NOT work for Abbott, I am in no way affiliated and do not have ANY purpose for giving advice other than wanting to help by offering a potential solution that I found on my own. If this does work, please repost with other communities so that we may help others overcome this problem.

I really do hope this works for you all and GOOD LUCK!

I’ve noticed in the last week or so that the Libre app on iOS is behaving a bit oddly... usually when I scanned the sensor successfully the phone would buzz and there would be the reading. Now if doesn’t buzz, the “scan sensor” message stays on the screen, but the reading is nevertheless displayed on the screen. So it’s reading the sensor, just not giving any of the usual indications that it is. And the figure displayed is still consistent with the standalone reader.
I get this sometimes too - and sometimes I get the 'buzz' but the reading isn't recorded :wacky:

Hi,

With me the first buzz on my phone suggests it’s found the “sweet spot.” (NFC sees it.) Then I hold still & wait for the second rattle & the 1980s video game “killed an alien” sound.. And we have a reading.
