FREESTYLE LIBRE ON SALE!!!!

I FINALLY had my invite a while back after nearly 7 months wait.
My personal experience was good. The accuracy was almost spot on to start with. After the first week it started to be a point or two out from my meter. But then so is my meter sometimes if I do a few tests after one another. On the whole I was very pleased, and felt I had real confidence in the readings I observed.
As for adhesion, couldn't fault mine. I was just careful not to catch it, and made sure it was properly pressed down after showers and baths.
In fact at the end of two weeks I had quite a job pulling the thing off. It was still well stuck on!
If any future ones go downhill with the issues raised I'll leave some feedback.

Thanks for the feedback @JPTS, the adhesion was a concern as I'm now on a Omnipod Pump and have no trouble with the Pod's, if anything they stick to firmly :)

Got my order invite email this morning, ordered it and the order is currently on hold. Anyone know how long its taking them to dispatch at the moment? Says delivery should be wishing 3-5 days but i assume thats once its dispatched

They are taking about 10-14 days at the moment.

I ordered last Monday 7th and it was despatched this Monday 14th. Don't know if it's different for new customers though.

Sorry if this has been covered, but has anyone managed to get hold of the LibreLink Android app? The wise internet suggests it is available in Sweden now, coming to the rest of Europe in 2016. I've tried to pretend I'm based in Sweden using my phone but it still doesn't show up in the play store!

The webpage for Librelink is www.librelink.com. It looks good but the links wouldn't work for me.

Looks as though the app is the equivalent to a scanner and once you initiate the sensor from it, you can't use the scanner. It's an either or.

This is very exciting. I wondered it will be available for iPhones as well as androids?!

I finally got my invitation email after waiting what seemed like a lifetime. However, when it came to actually pulling the trigger, the price was just too high for me so I decided to stick with my trusty codefree and out up with painful fingers.
As a T2 not on insulin, I don't need CGM like functionality and my BS is well controlled, hence it not being good value for me.

Yes, the website just mentions it is available in the Google Play store - but as it's only available in Sweden (yet) we can't see it in the UK. Hopefully it will be out soon though in 2016.

I've only just got my invitation so haven't had a chance to play around with any other Android alternatives yet, but there are 2 others people have been talking about: Search for "Liapp" and "Glimp".

Believe you're correct for the LibreLink app in that if you activate from the phone, you then can't use the reader - the info for those 2 above however mentions if you activate from the reader, you can then use EITHER your phone or the reader to take readings.

All clever stuff - looking forward to receiving my starter pack :)

Thanks for the link - interesting read. The blog is wondering whether Abbott's prediction algorithm will be ported to the app which is presumably exactly what the Librelink app manages. Should be interesting to try it - and ultimately save users a few quid if the app is deemed reliable and a suitable, permanent alternative to the official reader.

My biggest question with the app is whether you can upload the data to Diasend.

The guys at MySugr have today added the feature to import the CGM data from the English Freestyle Libre. Thanks Manu :)

Export the data using the Freestyle Libre app on your computer then drag the resulting .txt file onto the importer panel on the MySugr Pro web page.

Cool, will have to try that when i get mine. Should have it in the next few days according to the care line, spoke to them earlier who said that the next set of deliveries are being dispatched today and mines among them

After the huge wait and finally being able to order, customers receive an email stating they will now be able to purchase sensors on an ongoing basis. But it would seem there is a second waiting list to join for dispatch and delivery and no clear time frame for delivery to customers currently seems to exist.

Thats whats currently annoying me, the lack of knowing, my order currently shows 3-5 working days for delivery, but its already been 3 working days and not even dispatched yet, despite them saying it's being dispatched today

As you mention I too have found the customer service to be extremely poor indeed on the occasions I've had the need to make contact, and couldn't agree more that I also have been reconsidering if I want to invest in this product. I shall be looking at alternatives in the new year.

I phoned them today, other than being unable to hear the advisor properly it wasn't too bad, though i'll wait and see if what he says is correct or not, they could be getting another call tomorrow night if its not dispatched
