So I am about 2 months into my diagnosis and last night suddenly it started. I was urinating every hour with a full bladder I could barely keep it held for an hour, keep in mind I didn't have any bladder problems before my diagnosis and up till now it has been fine. I know people with diabetes have to urinate often, however I checked my BG it was 5.2 after 2 hours of a meal that's when this started. I have no pain when passing urine but it feel like even if I empty my bladder I can just keep pushing it out and if I get off the toilet it feels like my bladder is full instantly. I am going to the doctors today out of just sheer panic but in the meanwhile someone help!!!

Hello,

People with diabetes don't urinate more often than non-diabetics, unless their sugars are running constantly high. This is your body trying to rid itself of excess glucose when there is not enough insulin onboard.

Providing you're BG is in the normal range (which is seems to be) then this shouldn't be directly related to your constant visits to the toilet.

Don't panic though, everything will be fine. Your GP may try and blame "your diabetes", but explain that your BGL is in the desired range and you haven't had episodes of high BG.

Good luck,
Grant

@Aquathia Could it be cystitis? Keep drinking water, if it is, and avoid coffee (weak tea is ok).

It's very sensible to see a doctor to get it checked out. Let us know how you get on :)

Tahnks guys, So I went to the doctors and yh I told her that my BG were normal and she checked my urine for a UTI, (just as my nurse said before) there wasn't any signs of infection and she is gonna send it to the lab and if everything comes normal she is gonna send me to a specialist, so fingers crossed everything will be hopefully fine
