So, I bought a Frio wallet about a month ago, and now all of the crystals are on one side of the wallet, meaning that the other side dries out way before, and so it doesn't cool from both sides. A very small complaint I know, but I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to move some of the crystals because no matter how hard I try, I can't get them to move round.

Hi @SamElliott1997 Sounds like it's faulty - have you tried contacting Frio direct or the company you bought it off ?

Has your wallet dried out completely?

I find, once the wallet dries out and "discharges", the crystals move around very freely.
I only use my Frio when I am on hols and start by shaking the crystals around to distribute as evenly as possible,

I generally even up the crystals while the Frio bags are soaking and starting to soften. For me, this is easier than trying to move dry crystals, which seems strange.

Try a rolling pin, similar happened with mine, I rang to complain, sent them back and they broke the dry crystal up, now when it clumps I just dry them fully and gently break the lumps off with a rolling pin.

Not ideal but functional :)

Hi all, thanks for the replies.

@Juicyj, it's been a month since I've bought it so Amazons refund window is closed? Is it still worth trying?

@helensaramay, it's not dry unfortunately, I use it all the time so not convenient to dry out.

@dancer, this didn't work for me :/

@kev-w, this might work for getting them from one end to another, but what about one side to another?

If they're still active, as in wet and soft I dunno, I've two the same so cycle between them, the drying them out is as far as I remember in the instructions (it's been a while since I bought them) and what the company did when I sent the wallets back as I had the same problem as you describe, so drying it out and reactivating it is the key.

Why do you need to use it all the time?
Do you spend the majority of your time in very hot environments?

I only use mine when I visit someone constantly above 30 degrees where I will be spending my time outside.
Lower than this, insulin will be fine at room temperature while your Frio wallet dries out.

Thanks for the advice guys, I'll try letting it dry out completely and go from there.
