Type one since 11years old.
Usually I behave myself and my control and diet is very good...boring!!!!
but once a month I cannot stop myself from buying a fruit cake and eating the lot. It used to be six fresh cream doughnuts, is there any cure, what will be next?
does anyone else suffer from this disease?

I adore fruit cake. Madeira & Banana come close second then of course chocolate. We also have friendship bread. This was first given to me 16 years ago by Anne a lady from South Africa whom I met in Almere in Holland and the idea is to make one, save one and give one away. The saving is frozen and restarted as and when my mother decides she fancies it. Too few and far between as far as I am concerned. Friends and family have always been willing recipients of the give one away too. When the mood takes me I make lovely welsh cakes fresh from the griddle. Another favourite was banana bran muffins.

Rude people! Not being able to do the things I want to do.
The only advice is....Don't buy it!!If it's not in the house then you can't eat it!!Try and stay out of the cake aisle when shopping.I love fruitcake myself(no funny cracks PLEASE!)

Try and get addicted to something healthier like nuts for instance.
