I've tested myself after two hours of the mum's dinner.
Really Big Salad with carrot, lettuce, rape and so on, artichokes in casserole with pork sausage and then apples, oranges and kiwi. Also 50 g of fresh bread from the bakery.

got 110 mg/dl (6.1) after two hours

Maybe I am lucky and can eat fruit without problems.

Attached the photo of the cardboard for the apples .

That's great you might want to check out timing. Carbs I eat after about 4pm seem to have a lot less effect o my blood sugars than those eaten before then.

I just ate gigantic apple like 200 grams (don´t eat fruits much anymore )... 29 grams of carbs and found it raised my number from 5.4 to 6.4 well that I can live with... but I am still surprized, maybe I am finally about to reverse my insuline resistance..... I have worked hard for it, and an going to continue... but yes it is late in the afternoon... and then my numbers raise less than in the mornings...

I suspect from the readings I have seen for me I could probably increase carbs in the afternoon. I would like to lose another 15 kilos first !

Oh, I envy you. :D

Might be worth bearing in mind it was together with a big salad and a good meal - that will have slowed things down, and evened things out. But still wonderful news!

I find my worst reaction to fruit is on an empty stomach. I get some really awesome rises and drops that way - up and down by 4-6 mmol/l within about 45 minutes for a single piece of fruit. Some people would think that was OK, but I would rather do it like you, adding the fruit after a meal. Much less spikey that way. :)

Yes, even my DN advised me that when I eat fruit it must be part of a meal and not a stand-alone snack.

I once ate a smallish plum on its own and went up to double figures from somewhere around 5.5. The birds got the rest of them. :arghh:

Hi,

You may need to look at the "typos" & re-edit... ;)

Staying on topic however. I've fixed hypos with (checking the spelling.) grapes...

I'm more impressed by the 50g fresh bread from the bakery! :)
That was easy. I didn't bought a lot bread, was just made and really good - because it's made old style, with only coarse flour, salt water and beer yeast. Everyone ate it, i got only two slices, when I decided for a third, it was ended.

@MikeTurin, I'd be interested to see if you had an increase/spike a bit later, after the 2 hr test. I, personally, find this so hard to believe - probably because I'm just jealous ;)

Congratulations, but I'd really love to hear what you test at 3hrs too ;)
