Hi. I have the carb count app. I’m working it out right. I’m even taking an extra 4 units to give me some leeway. I check an hour after and two hours and it’s around 14 - 16. It shouldn’t should it? What am I doing wrong? Its making my PTSD and anxieties worse. Help.

Can you tell us more about the insulins you are taking. Yes, that level is too high and some insulin adjustment may be needed. Also can you give us some idea of the amount of carbs you have per day and your BMI?

Unlike normal insulin your body produces, injected insulin follows a fixed curve and doesn't match the food you're eating. As long as your blood sugars return 5 hours to their pre-meal levels, ignore the spike.
