I'm determined to make a new start with the LCHF and have seen so many articles relating to full fat yoghurt. I did my weekly shop today and searched the yoghurt aisle high and low but couldn't find any yoghurts that weren't low fat high carb! Can anyone please suggest a brand or name or shop (or all 3)and help point me in the right direction? Thanks

I use the Onken natural set. Lowest carb I could find 3.4g per 100ml.

I don't actually think there is much difference between a PLAIN yog with a dash of double cream, and a full fat Greek yog.
Just be careful not to buy the ones will all sorts of added junk, sugar and fruit syrups.

There are several brands around that do full fat Greek, Lidl's and Tescos, as mentioned above, and Total do one, I think.

I find yogurt a bit of a dilemma. I love it. It doesn't really love me.
Even the full fat (10%) Greek ones will spike me in the mornings, but I can tolerate it better in the afternoons. I tend ot just have some berries and cream.

My husband has the EasiYo sachets, and loves them, but they are all too carby for me nowadays, even the ones sweetened with stevia, because they are all low fat... maybe I should follow my own advice and glug in some double cream.

Thank you all so much for your replies. I had been looking at ordinary yoghurts rather than the greek ones. At least I know now what to look for. I'm not a yoghurt lover but trying to find a treat to replace the chocolate

Unfortunately, I hate natural yogurt with a passion To me, the only taste is sour/sharp and not that many more carbs than my usual Muller Light flavoured yoghurt, being 7.9gms/100gms.There are a variety of flavours too.

So, 2 dessert spoons of yoghurt and 2 dessert spoons of double cream makes a really lovely dessert and doesn't seem to spike me much at all. Sometimes, I swap 1 dessert sp of yoghurt for some fresh raspberries, or strawberries, and also sometimes add some sugar-free jelly - yummy.

Yes, I'm a reluctant ex-chocoholic

I use Lancashire farm full fat natural yogurt I strain it overnight to make it Greek yogurt. Tesco and sainsbury sell it.

We have just started buying Tamar Valley Dairy light Greek style yoghurt. It has 5.2 grams carbs per 100 gram serve.

It is the first time I have tasted a Greek yoghurt, it certainly puts your mouth in gear taste wise.

Edited: I put the wrong figures in, and also I mentioned light but is heavy yoghurt.

The full fat has only 5.2g of carb per 100g wouldn't that be better.. I tend to avoid "light" anything.

Ever tried natural Soya Yoghurt? that's pretty good (as I recall its about 2g per 100). A good sprinkling of cinnamon and a few spoons of Stevia sweetener (if you need it).

I would but I'm boycotting Soya because it's so environmentally unfriendly: intensively grown and often deforestation cleared the land needed.
