Also, if he is going for a walk and he knows it is likely to be strenous, then eat a bit more before he goes out so that if it drops, it wont be below.
I personally wouldnt eat glucose and then a Mars Bar but Im T1 on insulin and would guarantee a double figures bounce after that! If you are T2 then you prob wouldnt need to eat that either IMHO but of course we are all different and you might keep dropping down but maybe one or t'other?
Hob nobs are quite syrupy but oaty so wont hit you like a ton of bricks, but will be sweet enough to 'rescue' your if you are at 3.9 (and T2, not suggesting insulin users take this approach).Besides, its murder wasting hypos on pure glucose if you dont have to!
