Game to get to know each other

To say sorry when I need to.

What film gives you a lump in your throat and a tear in your eye?

I'm erring towards God on the basis that I have always sat on the fence but now because I feel like I'm going to have a short life I want to play safe and try to get my head around Him. It's a work in progress as you can see. I don't believe what most people tell me and I usually have to see it with my own eyes first.

Have you ever seen something you couldn't explain away - paranormal activity, UFO etc..

A very close work colleague ( we worked on the same machine together) had been off work for a considerable amount of time.
He had cancer and it was terminal.
One of his many traits was whenever he wanted to attract my attention he would repeat my name 3 times in quick succession.
Day in question I'm busy doing nothing really when I hear my name 3 times in quick succession.
This in turn prompts me to go and see my mates sister who worked in a different part of the factory.
When I got to her office I was told she had just received a phone call to say her brother my mate had passed away and she had just left the factory.
I don't believe in things like this but it still makes me wonder.

Do you recall your first day at school?

I don't really remember much about my school life as we moved so often that sometimes I'd be in/out of schools in a matter of a few months so the memories have blurred together with my 12 Junior Schools :-) My earliest Junior Schools were in Germany where we went on the military bus at lunchtime onto the Army camp. It stopped outside the security gates and we had to wait while the soldiers checked for bombs before we could go in - this was when the IRA were bombing lots of places and the hospital where my sister was born was earlier bombed and the nurse (wife of my dads friend) died in the blast. My first Junior School in the UK (other than a temporary one with my grandmother) was where I met a wonderful headmistress called Miss Delmage. She sat next to me one day while I ate my lunch and told me of her dreams about retiring and flying around the world. I heard later that she was involved in the Mount Erebus Disaster and was killed along with all of the other passengers but her body was never recovered. Wonderful woman and sad ending.

My question is:
What are your top 5 'nice things to eat' and what did they use to be before your diagnosis?

Lemon mist.

What do you eat at Christmas time?

Patchouli beautiful scent and makes me feel calm
What's your favourite beach?

One of the most glorious views on the south coast. BTW - I've had some happy lunches in the Old Granary near you!

Favourite craft.

Woodturning. Magically making a beautiful bowl from a tatty piece of spalted (rotting) elm, or black walnut, which I then inflict on family who have too many pieces already...

Favourite thing to do in the summer?

When I'm flying or floating in a dream x
Favourite old film?

Spain

Most embarrasing moment?

When I went to school wearing my own clothes but it turns out it wasn't that day you wore your own clothes and I didn't have my uniform to change into!! I was SOOOO embarrassed!!

I have two questions...

What is your favourite memory you'll never forget during your entire life?

What was/is your dream for the future?
