Cheers Robert I could do with that right now
Can I suggest some thing to you yorkman do not cut back the forsythia until it has flower this spring and then when it has stop flowering you can by all mean cut it right back down to the ground so it got a chance to grow this year to flower once next yearI have some snowdrops but they are under a pile of last year's hedge trimmings, plus various other woody shrub prunings. But, today I made a start burning the remnants of the christmas tree and some huge chunks of buddleja. If the weather holds, I'll be at the forsythia before that is out to minimise the quantity of stuff to deal with. One day I will cut everything back so I can actually see the smaller flowers. I did clear an area last year and planted a load of nasturtiums and harvested the seeds for this year too. They provide colour either through flower or foliage for many months and also brighten up any salad.
Thank you enclaveMy wife edits the Garden Tripod magazine .. Do let her know if you wanted to write an article about your gardening and diabetes, or send photos of your super garden.
