Hi to all I have Been Put On The Waiting List For Gastric Band Surgery Yeah Help to Loose Weight.

Has Anyone Else Had This Done Really Hard to Lose Weight Because Of Trauma.

Sparklebright62.

I know 3 people who have had this surgery, and it has worked for all 3 of them.

Of the husband and wife partnership, who have both had this surgery, the wife lost 5 stone and the husband lost 11.5 stone. The husband has maintained the 11.5 stone weight loss, but his wife has put 2 stone back on.

The other individual I know has lost just over 6 stone. She looks absolutely fabulous for doing so and says she doesn't know why she waited so long to have the surgery. She keeps telling us how much healthier and fitter she feels, and how it has changed her life in as much as what she can now do exercise wise and the strain it has removed from her joints, particularly her knees.

I do not know of anyone who has this surgery and it not work for them.

Hope this helps.

I know two people who have had the surgery and it hasn't worked inasmuch as they both found ways to ingest high-calorie foods to excess despite it, and chose to do so. Really sad.

I have a (non-diabetic) friend who had a bypass several years ago. She's lost about 12 stone, but is still clinically obese. has to take supplements as her body can't absorb the nutrients she needs, can drink for and hour before eating, if she eats certain foods can have "dumping" issues. Has a great deal of excess skin that she will have to pay for the surgery to remove. It's not an easy fix by any means

My good friend had one.
Lost loads
Put it all back on again
Now has other issues caused by poor nutrition. She's also lost inches in height!
I wouldn't even consider it for myself
