Gestational Diabetes: Fasting levels too high

Ate later again last night due to logistics - 7.2 post meal. Woke in the night - 5.6. Level without moving from bed first thing - 5.2. Post wee two minutes later - 5.7. It's been a v consistent 0.5 rise from fasting without moving from bed to taking it again after I've got up, so am sure that had an effect on my fasting levels previously.

Yes, you'd be surprised how much that can effect it. If you test before getting out of bed and then try to have breakfast as soon as you can, that should help your levels :) Even if you can't have breakfast, a small snack pre-breakfast can stop any liver dumps.

Well done on all the testing - attention to,detail can make all the difference when you're borderline with your fasting level.
