Gestational Diabetes Question

My girlfriend has gestational diabetes and they just keep adding higher doses of insulin, wondering if any one knows the effects/side effects of the insulin it could have on our baby prior to and after its born.

Not much sign of experienced people, Jeremy. I have been told that the side effects in the general pregnancy are minimal...and by no means definite...but it looks like some temporary swelling, breathlessness, nausea, dizziness, blood pressure variation...all minor things...but of course that's not to understate the risk that stress along with anything else is always something a pregnant woman can do without. I'm only replying as there's been a slow response to your question..probably coz none of us really feel we can say much. Sometimes one reply can result in more, of more use than this one. Looks like it's not a huge issue though...follow the links below to relevant and probably helpful sites. Hope everything goes fine.
