Hello! First post and I have a 14 year old sis who has been recently diagnosed with Type 1 and although it's devastating, we're all trying to get used to it. Tonight I miscalculated her carbs and mistakenly gave her 11 more units of novorapid than necessary! This was almost 5 hours ago and since then I've checked her BG which was 5.1 three hours after eating which increased to 6.6 in an hour after I gave her two bananas to eat. I will be checking her BG in about 30 minutes but do I still have reason to be worried? I was told that novo only works for 3-4 hours in the body before it gets out of the system. She also took her long acting insulin like usual just before bed.
Any advice will be appreciated
