Have been taking two metfomin twice a day for two years hb usually 6.8-6.9. Janury 7.5 doctor advised glicazide have been taking 40mg twice a day for two weeks feel **** bloated and generally fed up wonder if anybody has had same experience.

I'm on Glic full dose with no problems and I've not noticed anyone else on the forum mention any problems with it. It does prod the pancreas to produce more insulin so may be your pancreas is complaining? I'd see the doc if it doesn't go away.

I've been on Metformin 850mg, 3 x daily for 3 years, and my doc put me on 1 x 40mg Gliclazide a few months ago, and it hasn't affected me at all, I don't feel any effects. Not everyone is the same though, and if you're worried I'd go back to the doc.

I have, however, noticed that over the past few days I've been feeling bloated and have a lot of wind :oops: :oops: , but I've just realised that I've been eating lots more eggs as I've been trying to low carb for the last 3 weeks, and I'm sure it's the eggs that are to blame. Have you changed your diet lately that could possibly contribute to the bloated feeling?
