Hi I've just been prescribed gliczaside and a blood testing meter
I'm not new to diabetes I've been diagnosed since 2008 and was on this medication back then for a while and was keep having hypos so they took me off them I can't take Metformin due to stomach issues forxid gave me constant thrush so took me off them as well,
I got referred to hospital and they have put me on gliczaside and gave me meter again to test but I'm petrified of having hypos again I only got it prescribed on Thursday and my blood sugars have come down from 8.7 to 7.00 already
The nurse said she has only put me on the lowest dose which is 40mg twice a day morning and night I just don't want hypos again like before I can't cope with them I have lots of other health problems like anxiety depression, IBS, Asthma, etc etc and the thought of hypos every day scare the life out of me was wondering if Instead of taking 2 a day should maybe just take 1 just to start with I'm not new to hypos either but really don't want them everyday again like before when on gliczaside
People's thoughts on this please thanks xx
