Glitchy forum using multiple browsers of late…?

Interesting..

Forums turned red?
& the option is lost at the bottom of the page on the left to change it back.
 
Dear @Jaylee - the forum has gone back to this style temporarily as we were receiving 6k+ bot requests a second and needed to minimise the variables. As soon as we've blocked the bots, we'll install all of the styles again. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Thanks for working on fixing forum issues.
With the change to red, information about type of diabetes and medication in peoples avatars has disappeared as well. I hope you'll be able to reinstall this, things can get dangerously confusing without this information.

Thanks. I noticed this earlier. I hope dark mode comes back soon.

If you click on the name under the avatar this will take you to the profile page of the member, all the info that a member has added is still there if you need it :)

I mentioned upstream suspecting “guests.” Or bots..
Scrolling through the lists. Some were doing some odd random stuff like viewing really old topics & member profiles too?

I also notice the actual member traffic v low whilst the forum goes “Britney.”

Hi there -

Everything will be restored properly...promise! We received an incredible number of requests from Russian IPs which seems to have been the cause of the issues we were having last week.

We have now successfully had a few days of no further problems and will be putting things back to normal over the next week or so.

Fully appreciate the challenges of the smooth running of a site. Big respect to the team..

If it’s any help. I’ve had “non trusted site” warnings for DCUK on safari only? (Not on my Android browser.)
Could be a recent update patch on my iPad? (Don’t worry, not expecting any personal feedback on my situation.)
Not a normal occurrence with an Apple update.

Was initially met with a red forum again a few minutes ago, asking me if I accepted targeted ads and something else I can't remember what (sorry) both in a box with a line round it. Was still logged in, so I think there's still an issue. Opened ok next time round. Anyone else had this?

Are you certain you didn’t hit the “Home” tab by mistake?
If I click on home in top left. I can get the default red & some pop ups.
Edit to add, whilst still logged in..
 
All the changes at the moment are temporary, it may be that the techies are working behind the scenes still to get the forum back to what is should be, - that’s not an official line it’s just me guessing ;)

When are the previous styles coming back? I miss dark mode.
