Gluco Support Pills

Has anybody come across Gluco Support Pills a kind of herbal medicine, and do they think they are useful or not?

Hello by the way I am new to the forum so let me introduce myself. I have had Diabetes Type 3c since my pancreas became non functional since 2010. I have an auto immune problem called IgG4 RD and most of my digestive system does not work correctly because of this. I current take 50mmol of Levemir and on a Carb Counting regime to assess my Novo Rapid input required at each meal and sometimes asa corrective measure.

I am interested to see if these wonder pills actually are of any use and what the medical profession thinks of them if they are known.

They're geared more to the desperate, insulin-resistant type 2 diabetic, really... For an insulin-deficient T3c they're not likely to be of any use, they're just supplements and antioxidants... Bitter melon might or might not help bring blood sugars down a bit for a T2, but the jury's still out on that one. If all those pills are similar, as I've found different brands, it's mainly just a run-of-the-mill multivitamin. Considering you have digestive issues you might be deficient in this, that or the other, but then I'd recommend getting blood tests done, so you can get specifics on what you need supplementation in, rather than just doing a buckshot with a Hail Mary.

Basically... Don't waste your money. Sorry. I wish I had better news, but if this worked, everyone here'd be on them and have their diabetes done and dusted.

I'm type 2 diabetic and have limited experience of type 3c, but I believe the same principles apply.

Please bear in mind that herbal remedies llike Gluco Support have not undergone the same scientific scrutiny as medication you're prescribed by your GP. The dosage would be far less precise than a regulated medicine.

These herbal remedies are widely advertised because there's a good living to be made from selling you food supplements, yet the efficacy of these products is unquantifiable. You cannot know whether your health is better or worse than if you hadn't taken them.

You'll seldom see a low carb lifestyle advertised because there's comparatively little money to be made from its promotion but it remains, with the support of your doctor, the best approach for optimum health, IMO.

Hi Nicholas

I can't help with the gluco support pills, but I definitely second the low carb mentioned above. I'm a 3c and its made a big difference to the amount of insulin I need, and my digestion too. I also would mention exercise. It can be difficult to manage around flares etc, but even a quick walk around the block can help - and cheaper than tablets:)
 
Hello, I just watched the video about gluo support pills by Dr. Paul O'Connell, and decided to checkout reviews before ordering any for my elderly sister who has type 2 diabetes.
I would like to point out that whilst I am not familiar with the berry and ginseng, the bittermelone or karela is not rare, as a matter of fact it is stocked frozen at Morrisons 300gms costs £1.10, and it is also a popular seasonal vegetable that my family buys regularly from any good high street Asian market/shop.
If you're not used to it, the preparation can seem a bit labour intensive. But once easily mastered, it is very delicious with the slightest of bitter taste for a hearty vegetarian dish. Treated similarly to other vine vegetables such as fresh runner green beans and or flat broad beans. Cooked in rich aromatic spices and herbs such as thyme and basil in a tomato base or a curry base. There are lots of instructions and recipes online.
