I was diagnosed in 2014 with type 2 diabetes and have controlled it well so far . But recently have become tired one day and full of energy the next and my sleep pattern is all over the place . I am a support worker and support someone who is on insulin and tablets and has blood checks three times a day . I recently checked mine over three days twice on an evening being 8.1 ,8.3 and this morning 12.1 . Do you think I may need medication as diet no different from before .

What was your last HbA1c result as those numbers are a little high. Also were they taken before or after eating and what do you typically eat in a day as you may be able to reduce your numbers with some dietary changes. If you are at all worried it would be worth going to see your GP to get everything checked.
