Anyone who is type 1 or predisposed to it find they feel better from Gluten free products that normally have Gluten? I always have reactions like Skin rash and sweaty palms after a Gluten meal which suggests I’m intolerant but I’m worried about cross contamination when factories make those products.

Hi Lodge89. Im not coeliac but my stomach certainly does not like gluten. Get itchy skin, bloated, wind, cramps and nausea. I definitely feel better for being largely gluten free (donuts are worth the pain ) if you arent coeliac then cross contamination wont do much harm at all.

Have you been tested for coeliac's? It's relatively common in T1s and something they should be tested for. If you're just gluten intolerant rather than coeliac then I honestly wouldn't worry about cross contamination.
