Hello all. I am looking for a very simplyfied answer to this question. How do you work out the glycemic index for food or find a relaible source that is relvent to the uk.
As I am trying to work out glycemic loads which I can do. Just not the index.

Hello I have looked on websites and I can't find certain foods like blackberries anywhere. What was the book called that you got from Tesco. I have nutritional value books but none have anything with gi in them.
 
Per 28g blackberries 7 calories 0.0 % fat and low gi

Look on the University of Sydney [Australia] GI website. they did most of he work.

Hello all.
I would like to say a very big thank you to all that have commented and helped me out on this thread. I have now gone from someone who has out of control irratic BGL's to a person who's BGL's are now more stable. I feel alot better for them being better controlled.
