Glycemic Load per servings

Hi I have been thinking strongly of changing my diet to the Glycemic Load Diet.

My question is I was looking at a Glycemic Load Index which for the following:
Spaghetti, wholemeal, boiled, average 180g = 16 GL's. Is that weight 180 grams from dry then boiled or 180 grams once cooked?

I would think that was cooked weight ... 180gms is just over 1/3rd of a 500gm packet.

If you are going to follow the GI diet then I would recommend that you only use 40gms. of pasta at any one meal. If you can find wholemeal spaghetti then so much the better.
You can eat unlimited veggies and salad but make sure that the protein is lean.

Ideally your plate should contain 25% carbs, 25% protein and 50% veggies. If it is a suitable dish you can also have a side salad.

As you are not a diabetic then you will not need to test for blood sugar rises.

Thanks for all replys.

I was thinking of having no more than 15GL's a meal. So if 180g of Spaghetti, wholemeal is 16GL's having a 150g serving that would be 13GL's leaves me at least 100g of broccoli 2GL's we don't count meat so that's a perfect 15GL's .
