GOOD AFTERNOON/EVENING.

Good Afternoon @ickihun - He has been to the Dentist this afternoon for a check up and all is OK with that Thanks Vicky. I am going to start and record his blood sugars and see what they are, but, his GP did test his HBA1C 2 months ago and the result was normal. But he has lost another half a stone since then - he is a bag of bones!! How are you doing with your cold? Feeling any better today. Woke up to much needed rain this morning and has only just stopped, so the garden has had a good drink, now R has gone out to 'talk' to his plants, and I'm going to start preparing our evening meal. Courier delivered my injection of Cosentyx about an hour ago - that's not due to have till the 26th May. I began this drug (Cosentyx) on 29th March and I can honestly say it is working, some days are 90% pain free and other days I am 50% pain free. Today I've got pain down the back of my neck and from shoulder to shoulder = but, that could be stress and tension (from yesterday) and got aches in my hips and base of spine, but that could be because I have sat on my Fat A**e a lot over last 2 days.:D

I'm much better thanks @ickihun, taking paracetamol and plenty of rest seemed to have done the trick. Plus of course LCHF helping keep my sugars down. I popped into town in between rain showers this afternoon so I could top up the electricity meter and DS's snack cupboard :)

Oh William @liam1955 I bet you are worried about R. What happens now? Back to gp for more tests? Has his appetite gone? Any unexplained pain for him? Healthy stools? Prostrate checked?
Leave R to me I'll have him diagnosed with overactive thyroid and iron deficiency. Bless him. Good job im not his gp. ♡♥♡
Thats brilliant news about new painkiller injections. Its about time. :)

@ickihun - Vicky, I am somewhat Stressed as it is the not knowing what is wrong? He is only 54 (55 in June) he eats likes a 'bottomless dustbin', I pile his plate much more than mine and he eats sweets, chocolate, cakes, biscuits, crisps etc. I am wondering if he could be Type 1? Going to start tomorrow and test his blood sugar when I test mine. (Thanks to Anna's suggestion) I will attend with him to see his GP and ask what is next. His Prostate is fine - I can assure you!! And mine is too for that matter!! :D He is regular with his bowels everyday, and he is not Aneamic - his GP checked all his Bloods about 2 months ago for everything. We are just Baffled.. Glad You are on the mend, it's really draining having a cold and you have 2 young children and Hubby to care for, so your "Bloody Marvellous' !!!

@liam1955 so i guess thyroid was checked then. Yes test his sugars. I believe high sugars cause weight loss in type1s. Ketoacidosis with high sugars cause severe weight loss. I hope he doesnt have it but in the intrim keep a close eye on him.

Good Afternoon to you all. There was 7 Charity Shops (not 6) -spent a good 3 hours and had a good rummage @mo53 - I never bought a thing! R bought a Gardening Book and Medina Paperweight and a tall glass pitcher ( to put flowers in) My main reason for going was to do Banking and go to Post Office for stamps, took brolly thinking it might rain, but didn't, it's very muggy and overcast though. How is your garden coming along Mo? :)

Hello @liam1955 I've worked in the garden most of the day. I planted everything I bought at the gRden centre. I replanted a container, wall container and a stone model trailer that a stone gnome on a tractor has! I then did a lot of weeding. How is it that fat grass has such long, tough roots? I also watered all the new beds and plants with a liquid feed. Did you read my post on the gardening thread about the Nemesia Wisley vanilla? It really has the most wonderful scent of vanilla. Have a look for one next time you are at the garden centre and let me know what you think of the scent. I'm glad R found some goodies. :)

Good Afternoon @mo53 - You've been very busy then with your garden and I bet it looks good. What liquid feed do you use on your plants? Yes, I did read your post on the Gardenfile and will look out for that Nemesis Wisley next time we visit a Garden Centre. I much prefer plants and shrubs that have a scent. We grow lots of Sweet Peas for their beautiful scent - especially 'old varieties' and cut them to bring indoors, and Lavenders too.
Well, going to go and have a sandwich then get myself changed to go Food Shopping!!! (Yuk) :(

Sweet peas smell gorgeous
Got to do a food shop too but will leave it till about 7pm
Been a warm sunny day up here in the land that time forgot
Planning a visit to Buttermere sat or sun if the weather holds out

@ickihun - Hi Vicky, How are You and Mum doing? On our way this afternoon to go shopping we called into R's GP Surgery and made an appointment for him for next week. I will be there with him so will ask his GP if she tested for his Thyroid and also for his HBA1C, and then ask 'where do we go from here'?

It sounds like either one or both but i'm guessing. His lack of appetite loss but with weight loss sounds hormonal. No pain, blood or vomiting sounds not life threatening but caused by chemical reaction.
I'm glad he has you! Change gp if a dead end but still weight loss. Don't just let it go. Ok?

Good Afternoon. Is all them plants in @mo53 ? Rain began here about 20 minutes ago, so it's on the way to Scarborough now.:)

Hello @liam1955 the rain started early here so I didn't get the plants in but the crossword is finished! It's sunny at the moment so I might get some in now. :)

@liam1955 I use miraclegro soluble plant food in a feeder which you attach to the hose pipe. When I put plants in I usually sprinkle the miraclegro slow release into the hole before I put the plants in. Sorry for late reply but I've just remembered to go and read the labels. Do you and R use a plant food?:)

Yes @mo53 - But we make our own. We try to be 100% Organic with the Plants, Shrubs, Fruit and Vegetables outside, but inside I have to admit to using Tamorite on all Plants. That is the proper way to water the hole before planting. And do you "tease" to loosen the roots with some things they can get 'pot bound' - R is the one who went to Horticultural College here in York (Askham Bryan College) for 3 years and got his qualification. If we ever win the Lottery? We would love to set up our own Garden Centre, but I will be running the Cafe part of it, don't get me wrong I know a fair bit - but, the Cafe side would appeal to me more, baking Scones, Cakes etc. Well it's not stopped raining since 4pm'ish so the garden/plants are getting a right good drink. (And it rained all night too) :)

@liam1955 yes I tease out the roots a little. Your gardening sounds great. I hope you win the lottery so you can have your garden centre. :)

Sconces , gardens , all sound really good ...:hungry:
