I guess I was in so much pain I was just thankful of some help. I did see it but I don't have side affects on all my other leaflets. If I did I'd shoot myself. Ha ha All meds have side affects. Some bareable, some not. When you get your meds do you ever read the leaflet in them on side-effects? Drives Ron nuts when I read his. Lol
@ ickihun I'll have a go, but be prepared I might make a right mess up. Ha ha.@maureen5752 when your typing a reply or new message above the typing box is icons. One is smiley face. Your extreme pain makes you vulnerable to accept anything in the way of pain relief , but please please read the leaflets . The gabapentin and clonazepam that Ron takes have memory and concentrate as one of there side effects, but he won't accept that this could be the cause of his problems . His memory is terrible yet again he is not testing his bgs even before we go out . Yesterday at home he came over all funny. His vision was affected . When he did test he was 4.6 I know that's in range but if he hadn't of done it could of dropped lower. I've noticed that pain has an affect on bg levels . Another side effect is hair loss which he also has. Your meds have weight gain as one of theres also sore throat.I guess I was in so much pain I was just thankful of some help. @ickihun. Hi it started after catarach ops, both doctors sl....d. Right eye top lid very bad, left eye bottom lid. Drives me mad, have to pull my lid open very often. Last thing I need. It can effect jaw, lips ect also. ZzzzzzzHad a little read up. Research is going on but only privately funded hun. Has this condition just started this year?
I suffer with re-occuring bells palsy, very similiar. Embarrassing I felt as my first attack was when I was a teenager. Worst attack was in my early 20s and people thought I had had a stroke. Steriods built my weakness back up, just get a weakness when tired now. I see their using collegen injections in some.@ickihun. Hi it started after catarach ops, both doctors sl....d. Quite right to William. As you say drugs are chemicals and everyone reacts differently to them. That's why I'm very reluctant to take anything, painkillers included. Then I only take them for a few days only. Ron's got constipation back again. Laxido not doing it's job. He's not been for a few days but hoping tomorrow will be on better meds. Yes I am going with him and I will be reading the leaflets.@ickihun and @tina_marie Hope you don't mind me intruding into your conversation? I always read the accompanying leaflet with all drugs, it amazes me that people don't read the leaflet. R never does, but I read it for him. Drugs/Tablets are chemicals and you are putting them into your body! We have to be more careful having Diabetes. My GP said taking the Morphine will raise my Blood Sugars and not to bother testing. But, I said I wanted to keep an eye on them. And reading the leaflet what's the first ingredient in Morphine = Sucrose (sugar).
The moral of the story is if the benefits outweight the side affects worth having. William, have you really any choice? I'm hoping I have other choices. Ibruprofen with sucrose isn't ideal but not as important as your pain relief William. If mine gets unbareable I'll just stay home and do without exercise, which I hate anyway. Because of pain. However creating more problems. Humf!@ickihun and @tina_marie Hope you don't mind me intruding into your conversation? Ron's tried them but didn't work. It's the Co_dydramol causing the problem. He's now taken a suppository.@tina_marie - Hi, I was prescribed that Laxido last year (Orange flavoured and sugar free) I threw mine in the bin and asked my GP to remove it from my file. It stopped having the desired effect on me. The only side effect that Metformin causes me is constipation - so for the last 6 months I am buying Dulcoease capsules they cost over £3.00 a box there is 30 capsules in a box. Tried to get them on prescription but no luck. I take 1 capsule every 3 - 4 days just before bed, and drink plenty of water the next morning. These are gentle on your bowels, but work.
Up until nov 2015 I never took painkillers @tina_marie but like we've discussed it comes on out of the blue, and wham! You're in agony. Unbeareable at times and very depressing.Quite right to William. As you say drugs are chemicals and everyone reacts differently to them. An alternative I use is a ten's machine. Just can't find what I've done with mine at the minute.Up until nov 2015 I never took painkillers @tina_marie

My sister uses one for period pain. Natural remedies are the best. You're giving me something worth thinking about. Thank you.An alternative I use is a ten's machine. Just can't find what I've done with mine at the minute.
Not a problem . Let us know if you get one and use it .My sister uses one for period pain. Natural remedies are the best. You're giving me something worth thinking about. Thank you.
I don't think mine is nerve damage, but i could be wrong. Dn thinks not but MSK assesment should find out whats going on? please god. I think ive done something to my sacroillac joint when i jumped off a low wall. The pain area is the same, gp thinks so and the relief from crutching up my knee proves that affliction. Older gp ruled out spondylitis by no hip pain, I could have kissed him.@ickihun - Vicky. I also take 100mg Pregabalin 4 times a day too. This drug is used for Neuropathic Pain and it is suitable for Diabetics as is the drug Gabapentin - which Ron @eldergarth is taking.
