GOOD AFTERNOON/EVENING.

I'm happy with my gp care too @eldergarth . I've been referred for msk assessment. Seeing cardiologist about heart and high blood pressure being acute.
If your gp isn't interested please move to one who does care.
What response do you get from him when you tell him you're still in pain? Mind u the pain clinic was actioned by him, right? William has had to jump through hoops for yrs to get the right care. It seems its the norm.
I guess its our turn to hit brick walls til a solution for our individual care is met. I'm with you, all the way. I appreciate your needs outweigh mine thou. I can ride mine easier. I feel.
The only response I get Vicky is keep taking the tablets and if ask about something stronger just get told wait for pain clinic
It ways the neurologist who requested pain clinic but it's took over 4 months of us Chasing to get the appointment

Would you consider changing your gp?

We're waiting till we've moved now then decide Vicky not many practices around here
I used to live in a rural area but my gp was the regional SEDOC and heart gp so I was very well looked after even thou dn was a bit vague. Endocrologist was more talkative in hastings too. Although I don't know my new one very well. Hastings one was very pro-active. I'm still getting to know my new endo. He's recommending bariatric surgery for me. Not sure if that is still the case since not sure what my heart is doing but maybe it will be exagerated forward. Not sure, but in no hurry. I don't want it rushed, I need all the facts first.

I did change docs earlier but in same practice and at first everything was going great but has now stalled again it is very frustrating and no doubt has had a bad influence on my health .
But I think this is the first night in a long time I've been able to have conversations on here without getting to confused it is starting to kick in now but not as bad as normally is by this time

I'm feeling loads better. Maybe it was a virus rather than bronchitis? Hoping I wake much better again, in the morning. Throat still needing painkiller thou. Fingers crossed.

We've missed you. I feel like our health has taken over a bit but at least we know how to support others, if need be.
Bad health seems to come on very quickly and effect the ones you least expect.
We are a symbol of how things can change. I bet plenty have come through everything ok. I admire @ellagy too and many more who have messaged me in private of their fight with health. No one expects ill health but just remember these things affect none diabetics too. Like @Liam1955 said the other day. Our partners are the real stars!

I'm with you there Vicky with @ellagy came as a big shock when found out she was in hospital but thankfully she's getting better .
William has been a big influence for me with going through similar things as me gives you hope that we get there in the end .
But like you say without our partners we would be lost I know I would have given up by now if not for Tina and her persistence .
Bloody confusion forgot what I wanted to say now

@eldergarth - Hello Ron, Don't know if you know this: When you register with a GP - you register with that practise, which basically means that I can see any GP within that Practise, this is the ruling up here. (I always see the Young Male GP ).
Might be worth checking with your Practise.?
And I am sorry to read that you have waited 4 months to attend the Pain Clinic. Here in York the waiting time for a place at the Pain Clinic is 6.- 8 months.
I sympathize and feel for You - Ron (and Vicky @ickihun ) with the Pain that WE have to suffer.
William:)

Luckily we can keep each other company along the way! Somedays I think if I could ignore it the time would pass sooner. I do feel the most fortunate as mine is mainly when im walking. Pain that is. The wobbly bits is whenever im doing something other than resting. oh and unloading/loading washer pain, which I don't do anymore.
Maybe we should do for each other what the others carnt. Ooops. No clean clothes then? Bless our partners!

Thanks William yes I was aware of that and have tried most of the docs in my practice because of when not been able to see my doc and to be honest there all as bad as each other I request something and just get told wait for pain clinic for the last couple months at my last appointment I requested a lumber puncture to help rule out or confirm what is wrong with me the reply was only if your neurologist thinks it a good idea so now it's not what I want it's if they want to spend the money on more tests is how I see it now .
I have put in a formal complaint into the hospital trust that runs things around here as yet been no reply which doesn't surprise me as they removed my posting on there review page for the hospital

We are listening mate. Sounds like they aren't. Remember these are www messages, for all to see. Name and shame in the scream thread. Great support there too. I love these forums. As long as you've made an official complaint they cannot complain if they aren't getting back to you. How rude! One of the moderators might know how you stand pushing a complaint further? Jeremy Hunt is still an option.Tell him you have worked all your life and now you need help can you have it please. II've used my MP for a local problem in the past. Give him/her a go. Let me know how you get on. :) :) :)
If i remember correctly i contacted health authority who nominated my excellent gp in Rye. I'll try and sort the info out for you and message it over.

Thanks Vicky that was our next step our local MP but it's a sad world when even the docs don't care anymore and you have to do all the work to get anywhere .When I was in a bad car wreck when I was 18 I spent over year and half in out of hospital and it was a lot different then everything worked like clockwork non if this waiting and chasing whatever happened to our health service

I know and when you don't use the system for decades you assume its the same. Many people get a shock but I can honestly say I've been treated with dignity everytime. I cannot praise the nhs enough. I would have been dead many times over, without it. There are still countries with very very little. Pre thatchers cuts was a brilliant nhs but no paramedics nor most cutting edge technology. Their care was not pro-active or preventative.
At least now they have the technology to zoom into the heart value of a 2lb fetus to prepare baby for surgery. I can go on as the awesomeness always amazes me.

I totally agree. The nursing staff would too. I heard it with my own ears. Because they were short staffed in a &e a visiting off duty nurse was asked to work. God love her she looked after me til I went to cardiac ward. She was a bit dippy like me but excellent. I saw a care worker chaperoning a very fraile dementia sick patient who was working herself to the bone on minimum wage. All these people exist and without them we would be stuffed. Can you see our young people taking up such work ethics? Is going to change again. It will get worse.

I agree Vicky I think the nursing staff are brilliant but unfortunately there the ones stuck in middle of unhappy patience because of the lack of docs but I for one never give nursing staff any trouble just the so could docs they drag in from of the street with there degrees cut of the back of a cornflakes box
