GOOD AFTERNOON/EVENING.

Good Evening Folks :).
Hi - Have been out to IKEA in Leeds this afternoon with R, Daughter and Florence (Granddaughter) I sat in the back seat with Florence, and pushed her around IKEA in her pram, allowing Mum to have a good look at things and chat with her Dad. I have took a lovely photograph of Florence in her pram she is absolutely 'beautiful' and I thought all babies were 'ugly'!!- but, don't think it right to put it on the Forum - So, I will send it to a few of you in a Private Message once I get it transferred from camera onto computer.
I'm now sat watching TV and my back and legs are "paining"me, but had a really lovely afternoon = pleased I went. :happy:

I love IKEA, and babies. What a lovely afternoon. Here's to more of them!
 
Good Afternoon/Evening Folks :).
I was on such a high this morning with my fasting of 4.9 - I went without any Insulin and just took my Metformin.
Today at the Hospital saw Liver Specialist - he was a little bit disappointed that I had not lost any weight since I lost saw him in October 2016. But, I explained about my Spine and Ankle and the taking of pain relief Tablets, Morphine and wearing Patches, also having a drugs review with my GP and some medications being stopped. (He was pleased with that.)
My Liver Function Tests have come down but not as much as expected: ALT is now 102 (Oct'16 was 107) - GGT is now 99 (Oct'16 was 100).
He is going to make an appointment for me to have another Scan on my Liver and there might be an Endoscopy Procedure to "investigate" the Aneamia? Repeat of Bloods done in 6 weeks time for Liver Function.
Continue with my Low Fat Diet (I only stuck at it for 2 weeks!!) But, I said I will give it another try. And he will see me in 4 months time.
So, R took me out for Lunch, I had Beef (mince) Lasagne and R had Gammon Steak, Chips and Peas.
Got home, went to change - took my Jacket off and 1 of my Cuff Links was missing. R searched in the car and found nothing. I rang the Hospital and they took all my details in case it is found and handed in.
It is only Gold Plated (cost me £15), with White Enamel and a Green/Purple Scottish Thistle enamel on it. But, I wore them at Mum's Funeral and they are very "Special" to me. So, now I am on a "downer"!!:(:(.

Liam Hi, can't be bothered to read back! Is it your dog that scoffed your chocolate? I'm told you don;t allow dogs chocolate! Lactose is bad for them.

Hi all thanks for the kind messages from you all, I don't go out much at all now, so not getting any exercise which is bad, gained 3 kilos :banghead: Doctor sent me for X-ray about 10 days ago to check for cancer he said, didn't mince his words, X Ray came back ok but I'm being tested in couple of weeks time for copd Living alone isn't easy, Our friend me rat. Asked if we could draw a line under past & start afresh!!!!! Over my dead body. Cheeky pig. I'll have read up on past posts to catch up on what's been happening. Hope your all well, if not hope you get well soon. X forgot to say what's this about meeting up saw a comment about meeting up what's going on?
 
@KezG - Hi, Unsalted nuts: Almonds, Walnuts, Cashews and Pecans are good for a snack, and are great for lowering and controlling Blood Sugars :).
 
Hello @maureen5752 :). Well that was good news your X Ray coming back clear of any Cancer = that's a big relief!
Diamum5972 is travelling up to Edinburgh in early March for a few days and she just asked if anybody fancied meeting up with her, who lived in the area.
Hope you are keeping well and warm Maureen.

@Liam1955 glad to hear your feeling a bit better, hopefully on the road to complete recovery. I'm still sneezing, coughing & pardon me coughing up stuff of my chest doctor said I've no infection but could be copd so being checked for that in 2/3 weeks time. Yeh I'm keeping warm but if electric & Gas keep going up everyone's gonna suffer as its cold this year, those poor homeless people sleeping rough I feel sorry for. IT would be nice if one day we could all meet up nice to Put a face to people. I keep forgetting to ask my daughter to put my pic on here, I don't know how to, she's busy at work & gym. She's going to Ireland, & got a surprise holiday abroad from her partner but he's not told her where yet & they're going to Mexico Xmas/new year. Anyway you take care of yourself & R & everyone on the forum good health to you all X
 
@maureen5752 - Should the stuff you are bringing up (Sputum or Phelgm) turn green and tastes yucky? That's usually a sign of Infection - so you most probably would need a course of Antibiotics.

Anna gave me step by step instructions on how to change my Avatar and R did it for me. I am not a computer expert at all.
Spring will soon be here and we can all get out and about and all the cobwebs get blown away.

Good Afternoon @wiseowl_123 :). I take it that you have ordered new test strips?
If your GP and/or Nurse didn't tell you to test your blood sugar - I cannot see you getting strips on prescription!!!
There is a website that we recommend to members on this Forum because the test strips are the cheapest to buy. I can supply you with the website so you can have a look? :)
 
How did your gp appointment go?
I've been given tramadol for pain. I cannot walk in this agony any longer!
Still no echocardiogram result through and booking in officer for coronary angiogram on hols this week so hopefully I'll have a date generated next week. I just want it all over and done with!
Mr ickihun has been advised to use talking therapy as his meds are fine. Just he cannot cope with change. (Me being disabled).
I've always been the strong one. Its his turn to carry toddler around. He needs help to get his head around it!
