GOOD AFTERNOON/EVENING.

Good Afternoon @Freema :). Sorry to read that you are poorly and I hope You get better real soon:).
Yes, I am wearing Butec Patches for 7 days at a time and I still have on stand-by other Pain Relief medication I can take.
Today, I have pain from inside my Bones and it's most Bizarre, and I feel like I need 'New Batteries' to give me some renewed energy.
I am taking my daily dose of Vitamin D drops that I get on prescription from the Doctor. Is it You ? who is taking the vitamin K2 = if so, where do you buy it from?
No my dear I don't follow diets as a rule. However, I did promise the Liver Specialist that I would go back on the Low Fat Diet a second time and apply myself.
I just watch the Satuated Fat content on foods -Oh and the Sugar content too. I have lost just 2 lbs in a week. But remained at a set weight of 13 stone 6lbs for weeks on end. And another good thing = I have reduced my totally daily Insulin by 10 units over a 2 week period, so I am pleased with that.
Hope you are drinking plenty of fluids and keep warm too.

Well gotta wait till Tuesday for the results... The dd challenge has been good though I have eaten a bit off piste... :angelic: but will weigh myself at gym tomorrow. The recipes are fab!! Actually too much butter etc for me, I know thats the idea but prefer a bit of olive or coconut oil.... Might have chicken tikka for tea with saag bhaji! X
 
@Angelofthemarches - Hi :). We as Diabetics don't need stress as it only raises our Blood Sugars! Focus your mind on something really pleasant and take deep breaths. :)
I'm hopeless with stress, really have to practice that breathing! Noticed my BG when I went back to work, from being in the 6s and 7s between 9 and 12, started getting the occasional 8... I'm usually in the 5s and 6s from 13.00 onwards..
 
@Angelofthemarches - I did a Mindfulness course a few years ago. And this is what you have to do:
Empty your mind, then think of an image/picture or something you really like. Close your eyes and Imagine this in your mind, focus on it and study the fine details at the same time take deep breaths in through your nose and exhale out through your mouth, all the time focusing on that image. Do this every day for 10 - 15 minutes. :)

Remember - when doing the 'meditation' block out as much background noise as you can. Hope it works for you.:)

I thought the point of meditation was not to block anything out, rather to sit quietly and observe your surroundings. At least, that's what mindfulness is all about.

I take vitamin K2 twice a day and also take vitamin d all year around ,well I hope it is the missing link when it comes to bone deteriation and heart disease all Kinds , I buy mine in Denmark in a shop But you can buy the here : http://dk.iherb.com/search?kw=K2
you could buy them with vitamin d along as They should work together take at least 90 mg a day The only thing that GP could be worried about is blood clothing But that should be the vitamin k1 that could cause that maybe read a little of it dear Liam before trying But I myself Think it is worth a try. Good luck I so hope you'll get healed in time

I also suffer from stress But as I understand it stress is worse when we identify with our worries , the best ways to handle stress in meditation is to observe ones thoughts and learn to be happy without any reasons at all

@mist - I was taught to focus/concentrate on an image in my mind and block out all background sounds.

Yes, your fastings are coming down slowly, but if you are stressed and I know you are self employed - you have to find time for you to chill out and relax my dear.

Hi William, and to add to that have had nasty high temperatures and general sufferings the past few days - that may explain a bit. Pleased the fasting figures are coming down. As you can see from my signature I am not on a huge amount of medication, perhaps I need a tad more. Sorry to hear about your boneache and lack of energy, I have to say that is how I have been feeling - maybe there is something doing the rounds? I am not sure how it got to York though :) - look after yourself.

Just in having been at The Archers 10th meet up at The Barbican, central London! It was as I expected! There were around 25 people, some who had taken trains from Somerset or Dundee, or Bangor or ..... Mostly women, many of whom had brought baked goodies, sloe and blackberries gins. Luckily one of the bakes was a cheesy flapjack with seeds and no sugar so I didn't feel too guilty eating them. The lady who had made the,, also had made quince jam to put on top, but again Yours Truly was a good girl! Very pleasant afternoon but I wished "my knight in shining armour! had appeared!

Ha, Ha, Ha, think the 'bugs' (couldn't possibly say on here) but they could be 'foreign'??
Remember my dear N, you unwind at the end of the day, just chill out and those fastings will come down. Enjoy your weekend - have Fun :D.

Since Christmas till now I've lost 2 stone , fingers crossed I hope to lose another before we meet.
@tina_marie great news on weight loss Gongratulations. How did you do it what was your daily meal plan pls if you don't mind me asking? I've gained since Xmas cos of few things needs to get it of, stressed at pressent which doesn't help. Again congratulations great news

She just cut back on the carbs Maureen plus pushing me around in my wheelchair helps
