Yes, we had a lot of fun, thanks, Kevin. I wish they'd go to sleep now, though - they're in there, 'shushing' each other, and I'm hanging!

@doolallylady - Karen, I wouldn't wish a Hypo on anybody. I usually get early warnings around 3.4 - 3.6 when I have a hot sweat and get a headache at the back of my head. I have to just stop whatever I am doing and eat something to stop it going further. But the 3 times that I have had them they scared me really bad. My legs buckled beneath me, I shook uncontrollably and thought/felt I was going to pass out. I have never had an Hypo when outside and I always carry glucose tablets on my person.
Enjoy your Bank Holiday and chat soon. William x
Meant to say: Daughter & Hubby were asked if they wanted to know what sex the Baby was going to be? And they said No! I always thought people want to know these days!

I love Greek yogurt! I eat it every day with a few crushed walnuts stirred in for breakfast. I also eat a few spoonfuls straight from the tub to satisfy any hunger pangs throughout the day. I think it's the texture which is so appealing, it feels like I'm eating extra-thick double cream. Lidls does a huge 1kg tub for £1.39 which is the best I've tasted and great value. And it's great for staving off hypos when my BG levels are low. Now I realise that I sound like an advert but I was answering another thread about yogurt and thought that some members might not know that you can eat it feely on lchf.
Tomorrow's post - eggs (only kidding :):) !)

Good afternoon everyone. Flippin running and gym both felt tough today:) but I did it anyway. Salmon for lunch with nuts and seeds, straw Bs & rasp. Going to rest this afternoon:)

I worry about you @KevinPotts . You should never push your body too far. Gradual increase is always fine but please dont over push your system. Its ok to do less on days of feeling off. ;)

I'm missing my protein. I need to have some veg cooked so stir-fry for tea. I'll always find veg something pushed on me, rather than a pleasure. I could easily live without it. Well for pleasure purposes anyway.
If I don't eat carbs, nor much protein either. All is left is veg/salad. Or and fat.
I can see why castor oil was given during the war. Ha ha

We can't be bothered cooking tonight, so off to the pub. I better be a good boy:)

I've had a lazy day. It is cool, grey and windy in London. I didn't do any walking today, I have been averaging around 25,000 steps a day for the last few weeks - I got some gel insoles to put in the running shoes I use for walking, which already have gel insoles. A double gel layer, so I hope to escape getting plantar fasciitis in my feet again.
I don't know what it is but I felt tired and low today. Maybe the lack of sun, or my hayfever, but after a good night's sleep and a lie in, I went back to bed at 1430 and had another couple of hours' sleep.
Feeling better now, and will put the beef joint and a couple of potatoes in the oven soon. I was supposed to have it yesterday, but didn't feel hungry.

Roast Chicken, Roast and Mashed Potatoes, Mixed Veg, Yorkies & Gravy for tea tonight

A beautiful day here
Hope you good folks have had a decent day

Hi everyone,

Hope you've all had a great day and readings are behaving themselves. Another lovely day here but cloudier than yesterday.

Just for the ladies: anyone else have a hubby/partner that goes shopping for something and looks at the price 1st BEFORE he decides whether he might like it or not? It drives me crazy. We went shopping for a pair of shoes for him this morning, we came back without them, as usual. I came back with 2 tops and some baps.

@liam1955

William, it's lovely that they are keeping the baby's sex as a surprise, although there's enough surprises without that!!! The only surprise that would be bigger is if the nurse said 'It's a puppy', lol.

Enjoy the evening folks, Karen xx

You lucky thing!! The only part of that meal I could eat without spiking my BG would be the chicken-not that I'm jealous or anything. Jeez that's the second time I've said that in 5 mins

Another lie in planned. I've been naughty and had half of a garlic baton.
Oh and forgot to mention @liam1955 . consultant want to see me. To take me off canagliglozin I bet. I'm on twice as much insulin but trying to reduce it slowly as I don't want my weight loss to seize.
I'm going to ask for metformin again. Unless they know a better drug for insulin resistance. I do feel abit messed about.

Half a garlic baton....what did your blood sugar do as a result of this cardinal sin?:)

Ooh you naughty girl Vicky! A loves the cheese batons from Sainsburys but I have to resist polishing off the leftovers, who knows what it would do to my BG levels!

Bet that baton was delicious! I fully intend to eat a large ice-cream today. High BG be da**ed!

Hello everybody. I'm back from my little break. We had a good time. The weather today does not seem to know its summer . It's very windy here. I hope everyone is having a good day. @liam1955 are there any caramac buttons left?

Hello @mo53 hope you had as lovely time, welcome back. We had a super day today temps between 22-26 deg with a cool gentle breeze from the sea. Largs was such a disappointment, so "busy" but Saltcoats was lovely, a quiet Victorian era seaside town. After my low-carb dinner of cold chicken and hard boiled egg I ate a large ice-cream cone with miniscule choc flake in @liam1955 honour (not a "slider" William)
On our way home now
