GOOD AFTERNOON/EVENING.

Hi Folks - :)
Just to let you know:
Baby Girl weighing in at 9lbs 7oz delivered by Ceasarian at 5.30pm'ish this evening. Both Mum and child are well.
We still have to think of what I am going to be called?
William:)

Congratulations William and partner. A good tidy weight too. Shame about the C-section though, hard on mummy :)

How very wonderful William. That's such good news, Congratulations!

I've been poorly! I've had some sort of virus-type thing - temperature of 103, aching from head to toe, chest infection - and been in bed since Saturday, but I've got up this afternoon, changed the bed, had a shower and washed my hair, gave myself a pedicure and now I'm lying here on my crisp, snowy sheets, fragrant, fluffy ... and totally cream-crackered!! Ridiculous... I have all the get-up-and-go of a piece of limp spaghetti.
Sorry to hear that you have been unwell Debra, be kind to yourself for the next few weeks until you are 100% well again.

Congratulations, William!!! That's wonderful news - and she's a good size, too!
My congratulations to R and the happy parents, too
As regards your new title, my husband used to call his grampy Pops, which I thought was pretty cute!

Thanks for that @debrasue I quite like that = 'pops':).
As I pointed out to Richard, it would not be right that I should be called Granddad as well. That's his title by right and although I did 'marry' into the family - I always treated R's Daughter and Son as my own - they were 7 and 4 when we got together.
Hope you are feeling a bit better and you have a restful and peaceful sleep tonight. Sending you hugs. :nurse: William xx

Grampy? Grandad? I hope you are doing well and missed you on the forum games.

Check out the low-carb recipes on the food network.com @PenfoldAPD - they have stuff like low-carb garlic mash, Southern fried chicken (one for @Cumberland !) and fried onion rings, as well as loads of other yummy recipes. Great for low-carb comfort eating to beat those carb cravings.
DISCLAIMER : You might want to take what I say with a pinch of salt this week, however, as I have indulged in wholemeal spelt bread every day! Not as bad as it could be, I suppose - it does give me a spike, but I seem to stay under 7.5 and it drops quite quickly. Can't leave it alone though... :(
You've been poorly so a little indulgence is called for. I hope the fever's broken. Don't push yourself too quickly, relapse can be worse than the original infectioon...

Take care:happy:

Yes, you're right. I do feel quite a bit better now that my temperature's back to normal, and that's usually a bad time for me, as I launch back into the daily routine and have ended up in trouble several times as a result! I'm trying to be much more sensible this year - it's quite a novelty! :)
Think I'll indulge myself with another piece of toast and some melon for breakfast - Dr Cally's orders, lol
