I was recently diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. I began using my blood meter this week. Why am I dizzy with a 97 GC level which is a 6.0 mmol/L? I intend to ask my doctor in two days when I visit him, any information would be helpful.

It could be lots of things, one of which is a false hypo. When your body is used to high levels of glucose you can get hypo feelings when your levels go lower than the higher levels you were used to. I believe the phenomenon goes away as you become used to the new lower levels.
I believe 97 is lower than 6 mmol/l - but it could very well be a false hypo - you can either tough it out with a creamy coffee or eat a little more carb to sooth your panicking brain.
