Good Morning

I'm up early. :)
I hope everyone has a great morning!
I'm taking stressed out partner to see gp to see if his anxiety and depression medication needs tweeking. His stress over the years hasn't helped me. On my signature I state my occupation as a stress buster. Now you know why!
He is really struggling and of course the help so far is he has to ask for the help. When your depressed you don't want to do anything, including calling this one or that one to find support. I've called around and got what I thought was the right numbers but when he explains (very well, I may add) on the call what's happening he's past from pillar to post.
What's new eh?
I will try again to get him to call this other number which may help.
GP can review his tablets but I don't know what much else. I think once you tell nurses that he has contact with gp they write you off? Of course others need more support but it seems if your savvy you become neglected. :(
Too many people assume you know how everything works, na nar. No one person can!
I guess I need to understand that too. I think when they are a professional in their field they know it all. They can never do.
I wish I didn't have such high expectations of people!
Seeing talk therapy this afternoon. God knows what they must think of me?
Even I cannot work that one out!!! Ha ha
I hope everyone's ailments are at there best and not being so troublesome. I hope @Diamum5972 is ok with her lergies after over doing it cleaning her brother's accomodation for inspectors.
Any improvement @debrasue ? @Liam1955 I think you know what your doing as your experienced with dapagliflozin outways most peoples. Shame some info website haven't mentioned case studies instead of only the side affects possible. We are all different and drug.com don't figure that @asparagusp . Just clinical info.
That's why I like this forum. Experience outways clinical data!!!
Awaiting sun rise then jollying us all along to school and drs appointments.
This afternoon at hospital appointment, on my own, thankfully! In some things only privacy can be a huge part of the solution.
Ps. Partner crying out from support from my mum. He'll have a very long wait. She won't do anything hands on, never has. I feel for him as I've had 45yrs to get my head around that but he's struggling with that too!

Sorry to hear about your husband Vicky. That must be very hard for you to deal with when you have all your own troubles to contend with too. I feel sad that you have no-one "on the ground" to help you with all this, but at least you know you have all your friends on here for hugs and support.
I can identify with you about your mum, too. Mine is much the same but I rarely see her nowadays, although she lives not far from me. I think that the reason you have such high expectations of people is probably related to that, too. Most of us expect everyone to react and behave as we do. If we analyse that we know that's probably not rational or correct, but I think our default is to assume that. So when you have mums like yours and mine, you learn from an early age to knock yourself out to try and gain their love and respect, and you become an over-achiever, carrying the world on your shoulders and assuming responsibility for everything and everyone. Maybe that's where the frustration comes from when we are ill, too - we worry about abdicating all those responsibilities because other people can't handle them for long, and we soon struggle to pick them all back up again.
The talk therapy sounds like a great idea. And don't worry about what they think of you - it's their job to listen and it's your job to spill. All that you can. Don't hold back for fear of what they may think - that's not what it's for, and it won't work for you if you do. And let's face it, the reason you're going is to find some help for you, not to caretake them!
Sending you big hugs, honey, and good luck this afternoon. Enjoy it - this is all about YOU, for a change! xxx

Thanks for the tag Vicky, I haven't been getting notifications recently. A and me are feeling much better this week, he started his new work experience yesterday which gave me the chance to go into town to meet my friends. This will do us both good because whenever he has one of his depressive episodes he doesn't want to go anywhere so like you I end up doing everything and feeling frazzled! This work experience is 2 days a week for 6 weeks so it will give him some structure which he desperately needs. Good luck for today, I'll be thinking of you xx

8/2 - Good Morning from a dull, dreary but dry York. Hugs to @debrasue and @Diamum5972 and also to all the other poorly people :).
Everyone else - enjoy the day.:)
I too seeing GP this afternoon, not my usual one - but one never seen before, as R wants me to get another opinion on this still swollen Foot/Ankle!

Vicky yes it's so tough for you. My nephew is 23 years old and is suffering depression. It feed into your system,

Today my blood results came through very quickly with my new Argentinian doctor coming up trumps (although it will take a while for me to completely understand her!) White blood cells are high rather than low so I continue Carbimazole. The cold I have is a bacterium so if mucous turns to green/brown and I start to feel unwell then get back to her. In the meantime both eyes have a bacterial infection but her instructions on antibiotic drops usage seems to conflict with what I read!

Have a great day Everyone!

Thanks hun. You too.
How many hours do I give from codeine til I start tramadol when it arrives? Normally delivered about 3pmish. I guess I should call chemist once I know what's written on sticker?

Vicky - How often do you take the Codeine? And see how often you have been prescribed daily of the Tramadol? Usually it can start off with 50mg twice a day, let me know when you get them - Please.

11/2 - Good Morning from a wet, raining and cold York. Hugs to all the poorly people and hope you are feeling better today @debrasue :).
And everyone else have a good day:).

Done it again! I know you have poorly eyes @asparagusp - Hope they are getting better :).
(I did mean to mention you in my earlier post)

Good Morning Everyone!

I was just about to take my eye drops when I noticed I didn't put them back in the fridge last night ..... So I was unsure whether to take them at room temperature or give them a wee spell in the fridge first. I have opted for the latter.

My cold has almost gone but the eye infection is still there as reflected in my blood sugar readings - growl!
