Good news.

Well done on your good results.

Are you sure your hba1c was 4.5% and not 45mmol/mol? 4.5% gives an average blood sugar of 4.6, which doesn't really accord with the message coming over from your previous thread here http://www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/threads/bit-high-tonight.120595/#post-1461103 or other threads where you have posted about blood sugar of 11 or 17 and hyperglycaemic symptoms. There are some conditions, like anaemia, that can make hba1c give a falsely low reading. And I would expect a hba1c result of 4.5% to have pretty speedily resulted in all diabetic medications being reduced or ceased.

I agree with @catapillar I am thinking you mean it was 45mmol/mol which is very good.. It is in the pre-diabetic range. If you keep going you can get this down to under 42 by the time of your next tests, which would be in the non-diabetic range.

Under 42 is non-diabetic
42 to 47 is pre-diabetic
48 and above is diabetic.

Perhaps you could check which it is? (4.5% or 45mmol/mol)
