I was diagnosed as prediabetic about 4 months ago, with an HbA1c level of 45.
Since then, I have been on a low-carb diet, gradually reducing to around 100 g of carbs per day.
Weight loss over the same period is some 8.5 kg, with a current BMI of 22.3. I thought that this would be enough, but it seems that I need to lose a little more to further trim my waistline.
I don't do any kind of glucose monitoring, preferring to wait until I've stabilised my weight & diet. I'm not due for another HbA1c check from my GP for some 6 - 9 months, but am interested in seeing what progress I've made, if any.
What do you think would be a suitable interval between my last check & my next check?
