GOODY BAG FOR SUPPLIES

Being type 1, my health and what really grates me are false people who make themselves out to be something when their not
Does anyone carry a small holdal, rucksack, or whatever with their medical supplies in when away from home/emergencies etc never had one ever but I got really stuck today no blood meter stale bottle of lucozade in mums car and a half our drive home yes we could have found a sweet shop but just punished myself to make her carry on driving till we got home.

So now traweling the net for a small type of hold-all to carry essential bits and bobs ?
 
I recall @urbanracer saying he'd bought a pencil case from Smiths and managed to fit in the pen, meter, strips, finger pricker and the standby jelly babies. I carry a small make-up bag with all my bits and pieces, but appreciate this wouldn't be suitable for you ;)
 
I actually nicked hubs toilet bag, its 6" long x2" wide and 4" high navy blue waterproof material with top zip takes all my bits and bobs and spare needles and lancets (in small tubs) and a tub for used needles. I think he brought it from Boots not expensive.

Hi, charity shops are great. I bought a small black rucksack when we are at the beach. If I need to go to the ladies or go off wandering, I put in my medical bits, purse and mobile in there and off I go. Leaving the blanket and the bigger holdall on the sand. I hope you find something that's suitable :)
 
Ive decided a make up bag wouldn't be appropriate ( plus wife might wonder )
I've quite a lot of bits and bobs seen the diabetes site don't look too bad but I'm fussy
 
Found one by Medi Bargains an isothermal "Diabetic" bag which looks ok I'd probably be paying more for the tag of "diabetic" bag but what the hell, I am what it says on the tin "diabetic" (cheesy grin)
 
I got a waterproof pencil case from Asda (£3) which fits meter, insulin, etc.

Liked it so much, I bought 4 lol
 
I've ordered the "Diabetic Isothermal Bag" not for the reason it for Diabetics it just looks as it will do the job I require bit pricey though is my thinking at £24.95 but some of the leather ones are much smaller and dearer just had normal post as first class is another £6 wow
 
My tester kit is always in whichever bag I'm using and there are some jelly babies/glucose tablets/sugary sweets in the bottom of all my bags. I did see some diabetic bags on Amazon last time I ordered testing strips
 
I always carry a rucksack of some type - a general one for normal life / shopping; a smart one for work; various sizes fir backpacking / camping / long runs etc, except when I use a bumbag for parkruns / fell running / orienteering etc. Easy to leave packet(s) sweets, fruit puree pouch(es), numbers depending on length of journey. Then I transfer my pencil case which contains short acting insulin pen, long acting cartridge, spare needles, spare syringe, plasters, painkillers etc, plus meter case with spare strips and lancets between rucksack pockets or bumbag. Never been more than a few metre from my kit in 20 years of diabetes, without any fuss or involvement of anyone else.
 
Great idea to carry medical supplies in a small bag. Just consider that awful feeling when luggage goes missing at airports etc.
I also have one of those Isothermal bags they seem just right and a clever invention.
 
As I'm off to download next weekend, I decided to jump in on the isothermal bag. Cheaper on Amazon at 24.72 and free delivery with Amazon prime! Looks handy for carrying stuff too.
 
I ordered mine yesterday normal post and it turned up today can't believe that it's brilliant
 
I've had for years a natty laptop back pack for the lot.. Though I tend to throw an iPad into the bag with the D stuff these days. (It's got the app that logs BS.)
To condense down for gigs. I find the extra compartments in the padded Shure radio microphone case takes it all too.
I also have an army utility belt bag camara case type thing that just takes my pen, meter & hypo stoppers...

It's a nightmare when you don't want to spoil the line of a tailored suit..
 
I just stick mine in my man bag on the way out the door
There's a useful diabetic first aid kit listed in the shop on the site I think could fit the bill for you , have a look home page select shop
