Have my first attack of gout since being t2 and before I used to take manuka honey on toast with cherries and it went in a few days . Other than getting pills from docs anyone got any tips would taking manuka make that much difference I am getting an average of 5.5 readings and test twice a week .

Hi there
I too, have gout and you have my sympathy. GP gives me 300mg allopurinol daily and I now rarely feel any aggravation at all. I feel, that getting problems fixed, soonest, along the way is best for me.
I have several co-morbidities so less on the go at any one time is great.
Hope,this helps.
Alan

It's gone now taking diclofenic was given allopurinol but stopped taking them as I read they can cause heart problems . I did find some allopurinol and started using them when I told the doctor he said it was making it worse as I had stopped using them a long time ago . Only off one day with it .
