Does anyone know a good greek low fat yogurt. ive been eating the total 0% with no sugar and 4g of carb per 100 after eating noticed it was double the carb. Awaiting bg result now but i suspect they will be highr than the total one. Any ideas anyone or are the carbs in greek yogurt like carbs in milk? ie dont affect bg readings.

As you've noted in your own post, it's the carb count that's causing bg not fat. I use Lidls Greek yogurt, which is full fat, but doesn't affect my BG.

well before i atrted i was 5.3 avter 1 hour 6.0 so awaiting the 2 hour test. i did have strawberries and crushed almonds pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds . so there is no 1 hour spike so fingers crossed. the asda one was only 91p so makes a difference when your going through 2 pots a week :)

does the sugar matter in yogurt as its the same as milk isnt it im confused. the total 0'% is the only greek yogurt with no added sugar.

I had some organic greek yogurt last week along with blueberries, hardly effected my bg at all.

As I live in Greece there is an abundance of different types of yogurt.

Cow milk yogurt
sheep milk yogurt
goat milk yogurt
All different percentages but low Carb.

Hanadr has her finger on the pulse...Lidl Greek Yogurt is sold here in Greece, full fat (10% ) only 4 grams carb per 100.

Mix this with no-sugar jelly (zero everything) and a touch of condensed milk, leave in fridge for a few hours, nice evening supper treat.

bedshaped2000...I go through at least 10 pots a week, great for breakfast on its own.
