Greetings @ Newbie Central!

Hello... yet another newbie to add to the clan!
Just thought I'd pop by and introduce myself, my name is Gail although I go by the name 'ink-pixie' as I'm an artist and I live in Cornwall (enough said :wink: ) I've been a T2 now for the past 7 years having had gestational and I'm still coming to terms with it!!!

Having more symptoms recently to the extent I am about to start insulin as well as my original oral meds, after trying most if not all alternative treatments including byetta - which I was hopeful about but, alas,I'm at the last chance saloon now and I'm finally realising it's me who's going to have to take this conditon by the (fill in space here...) :roll:

Shall look forward to hearing everyone else's news, views and advice ... isn't it nice to know you aren't alone?

Welcome Gail. I know what you mean. I found this site a few weeks ago and I was severely depressed about my condition until a few kind folk on this site started giving me hope again. I am taking small steps and heeding advice here and I am well on my way to getting my diabetes under control again.It's nice to share and realise you are not alone. Good luck! :wink:

Hello to you all and thank you for posting Hopefully today I'll be taking my first proper steps in getting control of this disease (shall be starting insulin) - that's if we can get up/down these icy hills in deepest, darkest Cornwall :? ... we're so ill prepared down here, mind the kids just love time off school :wink:
