I am thrilled to be back at the GYM again but have found it difficult to keep blood sugars in range. They go down rapidly to 3 and I have tried glucose tablet 1 or 2 cartons of orange juice. The most effective today was a I glucose tablet 30 minutes in and 30 minutes later after back to 3.
question what have other members found to be effective for them . I do weight training ( for shape not bulk) high impact training followed by stretching work. I use up about 500 kcal per session. Today I exercised 2 hours after breakfast which consisted of porridge made with milk and water. mixed berries no sugar and low fat Greek yoghurt and coffee and small fruit juice 150ml. I am on metformin 500mg bd and Glicizide 40mg x1
I feel great after the work out but shaky at times during exercise when the level plummet from 7 to 3
