Hello,

Has anyone ever had H. Pylori and if yes what were your symptoms?
Beginning to wonder if all my sudden food intolerances are a result of this and not pre diabetes.

Thanks
Alicki

Apprently it gives you the burps and makes you prone to ulcers. I asked for the tablets and presumably got rid of it. I doubt if your food intolerances are due to it. Are you taking any medication?

Yes, had it, had the scope and the antibiotics and has gone now!
I too also doubt it is the cause of your symptoms.

If you had the symptoms of having ulcers associated with h. pylori, you would be in pain, have wind problems, diarrhoea and heartburn or constant acidity in your stomach.

Endoscopy tomorrow - let's see! Last time I had it, I had dairy intolerance . No medication at this point

Hope it's ok for you!

I was awake for mine, both of them!

Asleep luckily!!! Michael Jackson drug! I had a "sugar attack" this morning. Ate a pear and ended up with abdominal pain, inflammation, upset stomach. I think my hyperinsulin is causing absolute havoc..... Keep calm and carry on! I see that on English mugs sometimes

A double, it's a honour and a pleasure.

Unless I'm totally wrong!

Good luck tomorrow!

Just thought on!
If you haven't read the story of how two Australian doctors came to treat the bacterium, I would Google it and read, a really good fascinating story and how they became Nobel prize winners.

I was diagnosed just over 3 weeks ago.

Everyone's symptoms are different but mine were -

Stomach inflammation/bloating.
Wind.
Burping.
Constipation/diarrhoea.
Stomach pain.
Stomach cramp.
Pernicious Anemia.
Severe Nausea.
Not being able to eat/feeling hungry all the time.
Fatigue.
Passing blood/mucous.

I also suffered malabsorption of iron and B12 and my thyroid meds and Metformin were also not being absorbed.

I was on triple therapy for two weeks and I currently am continuing the PPI for 4 weeks and then I have to wait for 4 weeks to be tested again.

I had an Endoscopy and Colonoscopy which was how I was diagnosed.

I have stomach inflammation and ulcers and more worrying h. pylori can cause cancer.

It is vitally important to make sure the h. pylori is eradicated otherwise you are high risk of developing gastric cancer.

I am currently waiting for biopsy results which I receive in 2 weeks.

Thanks! I'm going under in an hour s time. Will keep u updated! Sorry you are worrying about gastric cancer, the autobiotics usually do the trick, but if I do have it, this will be the second time in four years, my love of sea food is to blame I think

I,m fine. Preliminary results don't show anything - so this means that it is the pancreas that is playing up. Docs still think I have ab insulioma whilst I'm more concerned about a small acredoma, smaller than <2cm Will need to discuss with them and if I can't get the endoscopic ultrasound here, will pop of the channel to Uk and go private there. Really expensive

Try to think positively and I hope you get the all clear

I hope you don't have to travel to have the relevant scans as I would imagine that would be very costly for you.

Thinking of you.
