Has anyone T1 experienced insulin resistance

I've been prescribed a drug for sleeping and have started to have insulin resistance. I've spoken to my nurse and it's common but I've got to decide what to do. Has anyone had this experience?
 
How long have you been prescribed your current sleeping medication and what is it? It may help to disclose the type of medication, as to get feedback from those in the same boat.

Is it insulin resistance or raised BG you are experiencing? A little more info regarding your background insulin regime, doses, ratios, etc may encourage more accurate feedback:)
