But if it it looks slightly silly compared to what you want its better than no formatting.
For example:
People could use titles such as 'I WANT HELP WITH SOMETHING AND SOMETHING ELSE' (ouch)
or 'i want help with something and something else' or 'i Want help with Something and something eLse', or a variety of other things which which no formatting don't look particularly good and do end up just looking messy.
And whilst you would like 'I Want Help with Something and Something Else', I reckon 'I Want Help With Something And Something Else' (which is what you get) is better than nothing

However, I think none of those styles would cover what happens with the forum titles, eg capitalising conjunctions, which seems plainly unacceptable.I'm loving this thread as I am a proofreader and thus paid (not very well) to think about these things all day, every day. I've been employed that way on both sides of the giant pond so have thoughts about headlines styles and all kinds of style/spelling/grammar/punctuation swirling in my brain constantly...! But I will happily let typos abound in my own work. In any case, if you really want to blow your mind about how title casing headlines can differ even in the US, chew on these different methods to follow:
Associated Press style
Gregg Reference Manual style
Chicago Manual of Style
