Diagnosed type 2 on the 11th January 2016 with a hb1ac of 90. I was prescribed metformin 500mg twice a day. I took them till my first script ran out and didn't renew it as the side effects were knocking me for six. Now, nearly four months later, having stuck religiously to a lchf diet and no meds, I have been today for my latest results...........

Hb1ac today is 38. The nurse was flabbergasted and the doctor has made an appointment for us to chat and educate her on how I've done it. All in all feeling fairly pleased with oneself today..

Excellent news.. please report back on what the doc says.. we are in need of GP's who are willing to listen.. a rarity I fear... if she is positive we can all come and join your practise!
Seriously tho very well done..

Hi @Smodjephace

What a tremendous result and what a great first post. You must be and should be very proud of that. Please do let us know how your appointment goes as we are all interested in how our various medical professionals respond to such great results.
Congratulations

That's an awesome result!

I know for sure that LCHF definitely works, but I'm more than impressed with what you've achieved in such a short time - it puts my improvements to shame.
